Bangladesh skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza survived an injury scare and then was hugged by an unexpected intruder in the field during the third one-day international against Afghanistan at Mirpur on Saturday.

 Mashrafee went unscratched despite falling down in his second over as he slipped just when he was about to deliver his second delivery.

The unexpected fall into the ground momentarily brought silence in the entire Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium before the skipper got up and completed his over.

Mashrafee has a long history of injury with seven surgeries in his both knees and a further disaster would have made him paid head just ahead of busy season.

It looked like ankle of his back leg got twisted just when he landed to deliver the ball and was immediately was surrounded by his team-mates who all looked scary.

He got up much to the relief of everyone present in the ground but took an unexpected spotlight during the 29th over of the match bowled by Taskin Ahmed when he fan broke the security cordon to enter the ground only to hug him.

 Mashrafee took it graciously before the BCB security officials removed the intruder.
