Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team’s series against Afghanistan got deferred by at least five days, said a Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Monday.
The junior Tigers were scheduled to leave for India on March 10 to play a four-day match and five 50-over matches against the Afghan youth team at the Greater Noida Stadium.
But BCB game development manager AEM Kawser informed that the junior Tigers series against Afghanistan has been pushed back from the original schedule.
‘We are not leaving on March 10. As of now, the schedule is that we will be starting from here on the 15th. But we have to reconfirm the schedule,’ Kawser told New Age.
Kawser also said that the date of departure could be pushed back further as the boards are yet to confirm the new date.
The camp of the young cricketers ahead of this tour began on February 26 with 22 members.
