Muktijoddha held by Baridhara

Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra were held to a 1-1 draw by Uttar Baridhara Club in the lone match of the Bangladesh Premier League at the Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium in Tongi on Friday.

Baridhara forward and captain Sumon Reza and Muktijoddha’s Japanese forward Yusuke Kato scored one goal apiece for their respective sides in either half of the game. 

Sumon gave Baridhara the lead in the 42nd minute before Kato equalised for Muktijoddha in the 47th minute.

With the day’s result, both Baridhara and Muktijoddha earned identical four points from seven games each but Baridhara were ahead of Muktijoddha by virtue of scoring more goals.

Tenth placed Baridhara’s four points came from four draws against three losses while 11th placed Muktijoddha earned four points from one win, one draw against five losses.
