Singer Bangladesh on Monday declared 30 per cent cash dividend amid lower profit made in the calendar year 2020 compared with that in the previous year.
Singer Bangladesh in a board meeting held on Monday approved the audited financial statements for the year ended on December 31, 2020.
Earnings per share of the company plunged by 24.15 per cent to Tk 7.85 in 2020 against Tk 10.35 per cent in the previous year.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak across the country and two months of countrywide lockdown, sales of the company declined over the year, it said.
The company will hold annual general meeting on April 15, 2021 through digital platform. Record date set at February 16, 2021.
