A teenaged boy was stabbed to death and two others were injured in a clash between two groups of teenagers at Keraniganj in Dhaka on Saturday night.
The dead is Sanju, 15, a resident of Kalindi area of Keraniganj and the injured are Nayeem, 14, and Alvi, 16.
Locals said that two groups of teenagers got into a scuffle over playing badminton at Kalindi at about 11:00pm.
At one stage, at least three of them were stabbed.
The injured were taken to Mitford Hospital where doctors declared Sanju dead, said Keraniganj Police Station sub-inspector Sirajul Islam.
Sanju was stabbed in the chest and other parts of his body, said the officer.
The police held two siblings on suspicion of their involvement in the murder, the SI added.
Earlier on January 8, a teenage boy was stabbed to death by some others at Kamrangirchar in the capital.
The dead is Sifat Bhuiyan, 14.
The police on the following day arrested six teenagers in connection with the killing.
