School funded by Summit inaugurated

Liberation war affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque, along with Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs chairman Muhammad Faruk Khan and Gazipur mayor Zahangir Alam, inaugurates 38 Number Kalakoir Government Primary School, funded by Summit Gazipur II Power Limited, at Kalakoir in Gazipur on Saturday. — Press release

A primary school under the name 38 Number Kalakoir Government Primary School was inaugurated at Kalakoir in Gazipur on Saturday.

Liberation War Affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque inaugurated the school, said a press release.

Summit Gazipur II Power Limited constructed the school building on 0.8 acres of land at the cost of Tk 5.57 crore.

The company’s managing director M Mozammel Hossain handed over the school to Gazipur district primary education officer M Mufajjol Hossain.

Chair of the parliamentary standing committee on foreign affairs and retired lieutenant colonel Muhammad Faruk Khan MP, and Gazipur City Corporation mayor Mohammad Zahangir Alam and Summit Group vice-chairman Latif Khan, Summit Power managing director and retired lieutenant general Abdul Wadud, district primary education officer M Mufajjol Hossain were also present on the occasion.
