
Bangladesh logged an additional 23 deaths and 684 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Saturday, counting the death toll to 7,599 and infections to 515,184.
Among the deceased, 17 were male and six female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 9,701 specimens were tested in the timeline at 180 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 32,49,402 specimens as of January 2.
A total of 964 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 459,620.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
