Prime Bank has achieved its loan disbursement target of the government stimulus package for cottage, micro, small, medium enterprises ahead of the Bangladesh Bank set deadline of December 31, said a press release.
The financing at subsidised interest rate was aimed at assisting businesses to overcome losses incurred due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Prime Bank has disbursed Tk 250 crore to 2,388 CMSME customers, a target set by the BB.
This easy term credit would help the CMSMEs to make a comeback after the disruption in business activities caused by the outbreak. Prime Bank has always been committed to CMSME sector, which is the lifeblood of the economy and vital to employment creation and invigorating the country’s growth engine, said the release.
The bank’s wide network of MSME banking and speedy loan processing helped the bank to meet the target well before the deadline set by the central bank. — New Age
