The government on Tuesday permitted 20 more private labs to perform COVID-19 tests for international travellers needing COVID-19 free certificates.
With the new labs, now 32 private labs are allowed to perform the tests.
The government allowed the private labs to perform COVID-19 tests on condition that the test reports must be kept preserved at the Directorate General of Health Services designated website.
The new labs are: Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital, Nevus Clinic Research Services, International Medical College, Green Life Medical College, Aichi Hospital, TMSS Medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital, Medinova Diagnostic Centre Mirpur, Aalok Health Care, Healthcare Diagnostic Centre, Bashundhara Medical and Diagnostic Centre, DNA Solution, Biomed Diagnostics, Dynamic Lab, BRB Hospital, CSBF Health Centre, Prime Diagnostic, Prescription Point, Simantik Pathology and Diagnostic Centre, Chevron Clinical Laboratory PTE in Chattogram, and Jahurul Islam Medical College Hospital in Kishoreganj.
Earlier, 12 private labs were allowed to perform the tests for international passengers.
They are: ICDDR,B, DMFR Molecular Lab and Diagnostics, Lab Aid, IDESHI, Popular Diagnostic, Square Hospital, Evercare Hospital, Prava Diagnostics, United Hospital and Gulshan Clinic.
