The Rapid Action Battalion arrested a member of the extremist organisation Gana Mukti Fauj with arms raiding Bhabanipur area of Kushtia sadar upazila on Sunday night.
The arrested was identified as Rashidul Islam, 45, a resident in the area.
Acting on a tipped off, a team of RAB-12 conducted a drive in the area and arrested Rashidul at about 10:00pm, Major Gaffaruzzaman, company commander of RAB-12 said.
A gun, a pistol, 17 rounds, and local weapons were seized from him.
He was wanted in at least five cases, including murder, kidnapping, looting and extortion, the RAB official said.
