A team of Rapid Action Battalion 4 arrested an alleged serial rapist at a spot in Begumganj area in Noakhali on Tuesday.
The arrested is Md Kamrul Hasan alias Shamim Khan, 27, from Noakhali, said a RAB press release on Wednesday.
The arrested in primary interrogation said that he used to target financially solvent elderly women and visited different tourist locations in Bangladesh with them.
By tempting them in various ways and taking advantages of their weaknesses, he used to build intimate relationships with them and blackmailed them.
The RAB found obscene videos and pictures of 14 women on his mobile phone.
The process of filing a case against Shamim in Digital Security Act is underway, said the release.
