The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited has been voted the ‘Market Leader in Bangladesh’ for the ninth consecutive year.
It also becomes the ‘Best for Service in Bangladesh’ for the third time in a row in Euromoney Cash Management Survey 2020, said a press release on Wednesday.
HSBC CEO Mahbub ur Rahman, said, ‘We will continue to offer our clients the best insight and solutions to enable businesses to be resilient and thrive in these unprecedented times.’
Kevin Green, country head of wholesale banking, HSBC Bangladesh, stated, ‘As we approach 2021 with positivity and purpose, this award inspires us to keep the momentum going to serve our clients with even greater determination.’
Euromoney had more than 33,000 respondents to this year’s survey— a 25% rise on the past year and the highest in the survey’s history.
HSBC has also been named the ‘Best Global Cash Manager by Corporates’ in the survey 2020, for the ninth consecutive year.
The Bank also retained its number one rankings in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, and was named number one regional cash manager for corporates in North America.
In addition to the Bangladesh win, the bank has been awarded the number one slot in 22 markets.
It retained the number one position in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, among others. It has also moved up to number one in the rankings in Mexico, Hong Kong, Egypt, Ireland and Sri Lanka.
