Selim Morshed receives Loke Literary Award

Fiction writer Selim Morshed received Loke Literary Award 2019 at a programme held at Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum on Saturday.

The award was introduced by literary magazine Loke in 2009. Loke has honoured Salimullah Khan, Imtiar Shamim, Kumar Chakraborty, Muzib Mehdy, Subrata Augustine Gomez, Ahmed Swapan Mahmud and others with the award till date. Loke will discontinue the award in future.

Swapnakuri artistes began the event rendering a group song. Following which, Loke editor Aniket Shamim delivered the welcome speech at the event.

Writer Akimun Rahman and Prothom Alo managing editor poet Sajjad Sharif spoke at the programme, which was presided over by poet and literary critic Rahman Henry, who bagged the Loke Literary Award 2018.

‘I am deeply pleased to receive Loke Literary Award. I thank Loke for honouring me,’ said Selim Morshed.
