North South University organised a webinar titled Socio-Economic Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Women of Bangladesh on Saturday.
The university’s economics department hosted the event on the university’s official Facebook page and Zoom online platform at 11:00am, said a press release.
The university trustee board chairman MA Kashem, as the chief guest, attended the event, moderated by economics department’s associated professor Kanti Ananta Nuzhat.
Trustee board members Rehana Rahman and Yasmin Kamal were present as special guests. Among the distinguished speakers were Centre for Policy Dialogue executive director Fahmida Khatun, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies senior research fellow Nazneen Ahmed, Professor Sayema Haque Bidisha of Dhaka University, BRAC’s Gender Justice and Diversity Division director Nobonita Chowdhury, and others.
