Cricket West Indies observers Akshay Mansingh and Paul Slowe, who arrived in Bangladesh ahead of their team’s upcoming tour, passed a busy day inspecting various facilities in Dhaka on Monday.
The two observers visited BKSP and Evercare Hospital to see the training and COVID-19 response facilities and will travel to Chattogram on Tuesday to inspect the facilities there. The observers are then scheduled to watch the match-day operations at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on December 2 during the Banganadhu Twenty20 Cup.
The observers had landed in Dhaka on November 28 and were cleared to conduct their inspection after testing negative in a COVID-19 test.
‘They arrived to come and see our COVID-19 management plan and the security plan ahead of their scheduled tour in January,’ Bangladesh Cricket Board cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan told the reporters.
