Two-day painting exhibition begins at Chatmohar

A two-day group art exhibition featuring paintings created by school students amid the COVID-19 crisis commenced on Monday at Masterpara Museum under Chatmohar upazila of Pabna district.

The exhibition, titled Chitrankan Pratijagita, was organised by the local art school Chitragriha Chatmohar.

Assistant superintendent of Chatmohar circle Sajeeb Shahreen inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest.

Following which, a discussion was held where Upazila mahila vice-chairman Firoza Parveen, Upazila education officer Khandaker Mahbubur Rahman, and Chatmohar Press Club president Rakibur Rahman Tukun, among others, attended as discussants.

The programme was anchored by the managing director of Chitragriha Chatmohar Zeman Asad.

The exhibition features more than six hundred paintings portraying the COVID-19 crisis, country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, prime minister Sheikh Hasina, flowers, birds and others.

The event has been coordinated by teacher of Chitragriha Chatmohar Manik Das.

The exhibition will end today.
