Runner wins Superbrands Award

Superbrands Bangladesh awards for the year 2020-21 have been announced through an online ceremony on Thursday where the prime minister’s private sector and investment adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman was chief guest.

In an instant video message Runner Group director Amid Sakif Khan said that Runner has been the first ever Superbrand in motorcycle category in Bangladesh.

On this occasion, Runner managing director and CEO Reazul Haque Chowdhury shared, ‘We would like to dedicate this award to all our customers, dealers, suppliers and other stakeholders who have supported a Made in Bangladesh brand to become international.’

Superbrands is a global arbiter for brands which has been operating in 90 countries around the world since 1994, said a press release. Runner manufactures Sub 100CC two-wheeler with models ranging between 80CC to 165CC. It pioneers retail financing to help riders buy bikes at a very affordable EMI scheme.

Runner Motorcycles has more than 200 service centres.  Runner Driving Training Centre provides free training to the aspiring new bike riders.

Only Runner is approved to manufacture 500CC motorcycles in Bangladesh and exported the product named Hawk 200, a 200CC motorcycle. Runner achieved the ISO certification on QMS 9001:2015, EMS 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 as recognition for best management practices, environmental issues and occupational health and safety.

The company is concurrently manufacturing American brand UM and also the proud distributor of Italian brands Vespa and Aprilia.
