The Kushtia Juvenile Court on Satuday handed over four detained juveniles to their parents asking them to ensure that their children would not repeat any crime.
Juvenile court judge Arup Kumar Goshami, also the district and sessions judge, passed the order after hearing their bail petitions, police inspector at the court Rezaul Karim told New Age.
The court also asked the parents to keep an eye on their children when the kids go outside of the home.
Kushtia district probation officer Ariful Haque also prayed for handing over the juveniles, aged between 14 year and 17 years, to the parents.
Kushtia model police station officer-in-charge Abul Kalam Azad told New Age that they arrested the four juveniles on Friday afternoon after recording a case filed against them by the father of another minor boy accusing them of beating his son on Thursday.
The police officer said that the video of the beating was disseminated on the social media.
Court inspector Rezaul Karim said that the court handed over the juveniles to their parents as the Children Act discouraged detention of juveniles.
The offences, for which the juveniles were detained, are also bailable, he said.
The juveniles will have to face the cases until their disposal, he added.
