Sayed Abul Hashem has recently been appointed deputy managing director and chief financial officer of Premier Bank, said a press release.
Prior to joining the bank, he had been the group chief financial officer of Mutual Trust Bank since 2015.
He has 20 years of professional experience in both conventional and Islamic banking. Hashem started his banking career with Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited as principal officer in 2000.
During the span of his career, he also served at Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited for around 12 years and was the CFO there for 10 years.
Hashem is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant. He is a Diplomaed Associate of the Institute of Banker’s Bangladesh and a life member of the Dhaka University Accounting Alumni Association.
