Huawei to launch four ICT programmes in Bangladesh

Chinese technology company Huawei is going to launch four ICT programmes in Bangladesh in partnership with the Bangladesh Computer Council and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.

The programmes focus on accelerating the growth of ICT industry and facilitating ICT talents in Bangladesh.

A memorandum of understanding was signed in this connection on November 12 at BCC Auditorium, Agargaon, Dhaka, said a press release on Saturday.

The core purpose of the MoU is to initiate four programmes Bangladesh ICT Competition 2020, ICT Joint Innovation Centre, Huawei ICT Academy, and Curating Bangladeshi Startups.

Among these projects, BCC will work together with Huawei on Bangladesh ICT Competition 2020, ICT Joint Innovation Centre, and Curating Bangladeshi Startups.

Huawei ICT Academy will be conducted by BHTPA and Huawei.

The responsible parties will manage these projects for at least three years from the days of its inauguration.

State minister for Information and Communication Technology Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak was the chief guest at the event while Md Rezaul Karim, ndc, director general, DSA, project director, LICT Project chaired the programme.

Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited CEO Zhang Zhengjun, BHTPA managing director Hosne Ara Begum, ICT Division senior secretary NM Zeaul Alam and BCC executive director Parthapratim Deb, among others, were present at the programme.
