Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday released a memorial postal stamp marking the special session of the parliament on ‘Mujib Year’ to pay rich tribute to the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on his birth centenary.
The prime minister unveiled the postal stamp from her Sangsad Bhaban office in the afternoon, PMO press wing sources said.
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, chief whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury, senior secretary of the parliament secretariat Zafar Ahmed Khan and director (stamps) of the directorate of post Md Altafur Rahman were present on the occasion.
