The Dhaka South City Corporation authorities transferred its five senior officials— a transport general manager and four executive engineers on Wednesday.
The initiative came 14 days after the autonomous body had transferred 51 engineers and 17 other office assistants in separate official orders.
The orders, signed by DSCC secretary Akramuzzaman, stated that the officials were transferred on working purposes, a DSCC press release said.
DSCC public relations officer Md Abu Nasher said that the authorities transferred the officials in two different orders. He, however, did not disclose why this reshuffle took place in the city corporation.
Soon after Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh took oath as the DSCC mayor in May, 2020, he said that he would make the corporation people-friendly and free from irregularities.
He had fired a number of officials including two top officials— additional chief engineer Md Asaduzzaman, and chief revenue officer, acting, Yusuf Ali on graft allegations against them.
The officials included executive engineers, assistant engineers, sub-assistant engineers, typists and office assistants.
