The victim family also sued two locally influential persons for trying to hush up the indent, reports New Age correspondent in Feni.

According to the case statement, the incident took place on October 10 when the minor girl was playing with her friends.

Neighbouring 65-year-old Abdul Haq called her in his room by luring of money and then took her clothes off and made a rape attempt.

The girl’s family then complained against the sexagenarian to some local influential people seeking justice.

Two locally influential persons Nesar Uddin and Md Babul, however, tried to hush up the incident and asked the victim family to compromise, the case statement said.

The family then filed a case Saturday evening and police were in hunt for the three accused.

In Nilphamari, police arrested a fireman of fire service and civil defence for raping a schoolgirl in Syedpur upazila.
