Border Security Force of India handed over the bodies of two brothers, who were found dead at no man’s land near Parshuram border in Feni, on Sunday.

Nurul Karim, 28, and Swapan, 24, sons of Kaladhan Sarkar, of Guthuma village in Parshuram, went fishing in a canal near the border early Sunday, said their father.

Local people later spotted their bodies on the no man’s land and informed police.

The bodies were taken away by the Indian BSF, said Chagalnaiya-Parshuram Circle assistant superintendent of police Nishan Chakma.

BSF handed over the bodies after a flag meeting with Border Guard Bangladesh, he said.

BGB Feni battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel M Kakruzzaman said that the bodies bore marks of thunderbolt.

Parshuram police officer-in-charge Shawkat Hossain said that the bodies were sent to Feni General Hospital for autopsy.

The cause of the death could be known after autopsy, he said.
