High Performance unit head coach Toby Radford, who was also appointed as the coach of Nazmul XI in the BCB President’s Cup, joined the players on Saturday after staying in isolation for six days.
Radford, who was appointed as HP unit’s head coach on August 26, arrived in Dhaka on October 11 but could not immediately join the players as he had to remain in mandatory isolation.
Bangladesh Cricket Board was waiting for government clearance and the result of Radford’s COVID-19 test before allowing him to enter the stadium premises.
HP unit and Nazmul XI manager Jamaluddin Babu informed that Radford got the nod from the government to join the team on Saturday after his test result came negative.
‘His [Radford] corona test result was negative. He is now with us on the field. He has taken the charge,’ Jamaluddin told New Age.
In the Welshman’s absence, HP unit’s batting coach Jafrul Ehsan worked as the interim coach of Nazmul XI.
