BRAC Bank has contributed safety equipment to the Rangpur City Corporation to help RCC ensure the safety of its personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic, said a press release.
Rangpur City Corporation mayor Md Mostafizer Rahman and BRAC Bank managing director and CEO Selim RF Hussain joined a virtual handover ceremony on Monday as the bank’s senior officials from Rangpur handed over the safety equipment to the mayor’s office.
Mayor Md Mostafizer Rahman said, ‘From the very beginning of this pandemic situation, the Rangpur City Corporation has been extremely careful in continuing its services and at the same time ensuring health and safety of the citizens and its employees. BRAC Bank has always been supportive of our organisation and has extended their hands many times in the past.’
Selim RF Hussain said, ‘The job that the city corporation has done so far to tackle the outbreak in Rangpur, under the leadership of its mayor, is commendable. It is our responsibility to support organisations that work relentlessly for the people’.
BRAC Bank SME head Syed Abdul Momen and branches head Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque also joined the virtual event.
The safety equipment given include reusable personal protective equipment, masks, hand sanitisers and disinfected spray machines. — New Age
