Southeast Univ observes National Mourning Day

Southeast University observed National Mourning Day marking the 45th death anniversary of late president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On the occasion an online discussion was organised on Sunday where Bangladesh Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader was connected as chief guest.

The discussion was chaired by Southeast University vice-chancellor AFM Mafizul Islam, while former Bangladesh Bank governor Atiur Rahman, also Bangabandhu Chair Professor of the University of Dhaka, attended the programme as special guest.

Southeast University Board of Trustees chairman Md Rezaul Karim was the guest of honour of the programme where Board of Trustees adviser ANM Meshquat Uddin gave the welcome speech.

Among others, members of Board of Trustees, registrar, deans, chairmen, teachers, journalists, officials and students were present on the occasion.
