Agriculture minister M Abdur Razzaque on Monday urged the government to unmask the plotters who were behind the assassination of August 15 in 1975.
‘The local and foreign conspirators who were behind the killing of Bangabandhu are still active..it is necessary to unmask those plotters,’ he said while participating a virtual discussion marking the National Mourning Day at Krishi Bhaban at Dilkusha in Dhaka.
Terming the carnage of August 15 as the brutal murder in the human history, the agriculture minister said, ‘We know many political killings in the world, but such a brutal and demonic killing on August 15 was rare throughout the world.’
Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation organised the discussion with its chairman M Sayedul Islam in the chair. Agriculture secretary M Nasiruzzaman spoke at the function as special guest.
