Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited’s 13th extra-ordinary general meeting and 19th annual general meeting was held on a digital platform on Wednesday, said a press release.
The bank’s chairman, Md Sanaullah Shahid, presided over the meeting.
At the EGM, the proposal for increasing of the authorised capital of the company from Tk 1,000 crore to Tk 1,500 crore was approved.
The AGM approved 10 per cent dividend (5 per cent stock and 5 per cent cash) for the shareholders and the directors reported and audited the balance sheet and the profit and loss account for the year ended on December 31, 2019.
Md Sanaullah Shahid, bank’s managing director and CEO M Shahidul Islam spoke at the meeting while and EVP and company secretary Md Abul Bashar moderated the programme.
The bank’s vice-chairmen, Md Harun Miah and Md Abdul Barek, directors Anwer Hossain Khan, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Akkas Uddin Mollah, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Md Towhidur Rahman, Mohammed Younus, Mohammed Golam Quddus, Fakir Akhtaruzzaman, Jabun Nahar, Fakir Mashrikuzzaman, independent directors Ekramul Haque, KAM Majedur Rahman and Nasir Uddin Ahmed, representative of external auditor of the bank Wasik Abdullah Momit, legal adviser Khan Mohammad Shamim Aziz, bank’s additional managing directors Abdul Aziz and SM Mainuddin Chowdhury, deputy managing directors Md Shahjahan Shiraj, M Akhter Hossain, Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury, Imtiaz U Ahmed and Nasim Sekander and CFO Md Jafar Sadeq joined the meeting. — New Age
