A number of Bangladesh national women’s team cricketers began individual training on Monday at three different Bangladesh Cricket Board facilities across the country.

Sharmin Sultana, Sharmina Akhter, Jahanara Alam and Nahida Akter trained at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur while Salma Khatun and Rumana Ahmed trained at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.

Two other national team cricketers Khadija Tul Kubra and Sharmin Sultana completed their first day’s individual training session at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura.

Nahida shared her experience of coming back to the field after several months.

‘It feels good to be back in this ground after five months. I did some physical training at the gym and tried bowling,’ said the left-arm spinner.

‘I was struggling in the beginning but hopefully everything will be alright soon. We were following the instructions given by the BCB at home, now we are glad to train in the field,’ she added.
