Chattogram doctor dies of COVID-19

A teacher of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at the hospital on Monday night.

Deceased Nazrul Islam Chowdhury Taslim, an associate professor of orthopaedics department, died at around 10:00pm, said Bangladesh Medical Association, Chattogram chapter, general secretary Faisal Iqbal Chowdhury.

He said that Nazrul was admitted to the hospital on Friday with fever, coughing and breathing difficulties. Later, he tested positive for COVID-19. He had also been suffering from cancer.

Another associate professor and head of CMCH orthopaedics department Samirul Islam died of COVID-19 at CMCH on June 26.
