Mercantile Bank has launched seven new agent banking outlets across the country to provide basic banking services to the unbanked population of the country during the coronavirus pandemic, said press release.
The bank’s managing director and CEO, Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, inaugurated the agent banking outlets virtually on Tuesday.
Mercantile Bank AMD and CRO Mati Ul Hasan gave a speech on the occasion as a special guest while DMD and CSBO Adil Raihan delivered the welcome speech.
The newly inaugurated seven outlets are M R Trading at Begumganj’s Choyani Bazar and Moni Community Centre at Sonaimuri’s Bangla Bazar in Noakhali, Torolota Telecom at Islampur Road in Naogaon Sadar and Al Saif Trade at Manda’s Choubaria Bazar in Naogaon, Tonni Library and Stationaries at Gobindaganj’s Dhonial in Gaibandha, M/S Vhai Vhai Agency at Ghoraghat municipality’s Azad Mor in Dinajpur and M/S Sunny Enterprise at Langadur Mainimukh Bazar in Rangamati.
