A mobile court on Saturday sentenced four employees of a diagnostic centre to different terms of imprisonment for their role in delivering fake medical test reports in Barishal.
Diagnostic centre owner Md Shahin and his brother each were sentenced to 6 months in jail and two technicians- Shyam Saha and Shyamal Majumdar were sentenced to 3 months.
Members of the Detective Branch also sealed off the diagnostic centre— Moon Medical Services during a drive in the afternoon.
Executive magistrate Ziaur Rahman said the centre had been providing fake medical reports forging the signature of physicians.
Their laboratory did not have legal clearance and their medical supplies chemicals failed to conform to standard, Ziaur said.
