Families of COVID victim journalists get Tk 15 lakh

Bashundhara Group donated Tk 15 lakh to the families of three corona-victim journalists.

Bashundhara Group managing director Sayem Sobhan Anvir handed over cheque for Tk 5 lakh to each family on Sunday, said a news release.

The three journalists are Somoyer Alo city editor Humayun Kabir Khokon, senior sub-editor Mahmudul Hakim Apu and Bhorer Kagoj crime reporter Aslam Rahman.

Humayun Kabir Khokon’s wife Sharmin Sultana Rina, Mahmudul Hakim Apu’s wife Arifa Sultana and Aslam Rahman’s wife Fatema Rahman received the support at the Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-2 in the capital.

Among others, Bangladesh Pratidin editor Naem Nizam and Kaler Katho editor Imdadul Haq Milan were present on the occasion.
