Chattogram and Naogaon-based recitation artistes entertained poem lovers at separate virtual shows respectively organised by Bangladesh Abritti Samannay Parishad and Abritti Parishad Naogaon on Friday.

Bikele Abritti’, on its Facebook page at 8:00 pm. Its president Ahkam Ullah presided over the event, anchored by recitation artiste Debasish Rudro.
Chattgoram-based recitation artistes Rashed Hassan, Mosroor Hossen, Taskiatun Nur Tania, Mejbah Chaudhury, Anik Mahajan, Tisha Chakraborti, Shamima Shila, Nahid Newaz, Bishwajit Paul and others participated in the programme.
Ahkam Ullah recited Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s poem ‘Porichoy’, Taskiatun Nur Tania recited a poem portraying the COVID-19 outbreak named ‘Ei Dushsamay’, Mejbah Chaudhury recited poet Tajul Islam’s ‘Corona Sandeho’, Puspa recited Rudra Goswami’s ‘Mrityudanda’, Anik Mahajan recited Tagore’s ‘Dushsamay’, Shamima Shila recited Tagore’s ‘Proshno’ and Nahid Newaz recited Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal’s ‘Chhobi’.
‘We arranged this virtual programme to provide recitation artistes a platform amid the COVID-19 outbreak. I hope the audience have enjoyed the event,’ said Ahkam Ullah.
Abritti Parishad Naogaon streamed a live programme titled ‘Abriti Adda’ on its Facebook page at 9:00 pm.
Naogaon-based recitation artistes Pijush Kanti Fauzdar, Sirajul Islam Abed and Balaka Bari recited popular poems of Rabindranath Tagore at the programme, anchored by general secretary of the organisation Rafiquddoula Rabbi.
Pijush Kanti Fauzdar recited Tagore’s timeless poem ‘Sonar Tari’, Sirajul Islam Abed recited ‘Parichay’ and Balaka Bari recited ‘Nirjhorer Swapna Bhango’ and others.
