IUB holds first online orientation

Independent University, Bangladesh organised its first ever online orientation programme for Summer 2020 Semester on Saturday.

IUB Board of Trustees chairman A Matin Chowdhury was the chief guest of the programme where acting vice-chancellor professor Milan Pagon heartily thanked the parents and students.

Professor Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, acting dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship; Mahady Hasan, Head of CSE under the School of Engineering, Technology and Science; Professor Imtiaz A Hussain, acting dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; Professor Shah M Farque, Dean of the School of Environment and Life Sciences; and Professor JMA Hannan, dean of the School of Pharmacy and Public Health also talked during this inaugural ceremony and explained activities and programmes that their respective Schools have been offering.

IUB registrar Md Anwarul Islam presented the overview of the semester. Central Information Technology Services deputy director Mahfuz Ahmed conducted an online training session on the basics of Google Classroom.

The entire event was moderated by Khandaker Aminul Haque, director of Media and Public Relations.
