Islamic University English department professor M Mizanur Rahman filed a general diary with Jhenaidah police station on Friday night over a leaked audio clip containing his alleged conversation with a female student.
Jhenaidah police station officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman said that he received a GD signed by M Mizanur Rahman seeking security.
According to the diary, some unidentified people spread ‘indecent conversation’ on Facebook editing Mizan’s voice to tarnish his academic and professional status.
Mizanur told New Age that said it was not his voice that was leaked on social media. ‘I have no involvement in this audio. As part of a vile attempt to tarnish my professional and social status, a vested quarter has made the heinous act editing my voice,’ he added.
On June 30, an audio scandal containing conversation between Mizan and a female student went viral on social media where Mizan invited the student to his home for an illicit act.
The university formed a three-member probe body to investigate the incident and suspended Mizanur as the director of Teacher Student Cultural Centre of the university.
