The physical condition of Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder and trustee Zafrullah Chowdhury was gradually improving after he was given antibiotic, said physicians.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra Samaj Vittik Medical College Hospital vice-principal Mohib Ullah Khandoker said that he was taking normal foods and his lungs were doing well.
Earlier, physicians found three types of infections in his lungs on Thursday.
‘Overall he is well now. His voice is better now,’ he said.
Freedom fighter and Jatiya Oikya Front leader Zafrullah was undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital over for a month after he was infected with COVID-19.
JOF office chief Jahangir Alam Mintu in a press release said that prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s personal physician professor ABM Abdullah visited Zafrullah at the hospital in the morning.
Zafrullah proposed him to take the charge of the GK treatment research wing and Abdullah agreed to it, said the release.
Physicians said that Zafrullah was reading newspapers and writing articles on different issues at hospital.
Zafrullah Chowdhury had been suffering from kidney diseases for long as he needed three dialyses in every week.
