BASMAH helps people hit by COVID-19

Bangladesh American Society of Muslim Aid for Humanity, USA, volunteers distribute essential food items for free among the poor people of Bangladesh with the help of BASMAH Foundation Bangladesh. — press release

Bangladesh American Society of Muslim Aid for Humanity, USA, has distributed essential food items and health equipment for free among the poor people in 53 areas of Bangladesh with the help of BASMAH Foundation Bangladesh.

The food package contains rice, pulse, soybean oil, potato, onion, sugar, flour, salt, soap, and many others daily usable products, said a press release.

Besides, PPE, mask, hand sanitiser, gloves, soap, head cover and goggles were given to government and non-government organisations to protect employees from corona virus.

Distribution of health equipment to front line workers, such as police forces and doctors, is also in the process of implementation.

BASMAH founder and CEO Meer Sakhawat Hossain said that more than 15 projects have been successfully implemented in the Rohingya camps by the organisation. BASMAH has also distributed food items and health equipment among distressed people in the USA.
