Two youths were injured as a fire broke out at a factory warehouse in a three-storey building in Raisaheb Bazar of old Dhaka Saturday morning.
Fire service and civil defence headquarters duty officer Rasel Shikder said that the fire broke out at the factory, used to manufacture nuts and bolts, on the ground floor of the building at about 7:00am.
One of the injured was identified as Rockey, 28, and the other could not be identified immediately.
The fire service officer said that the factory was using chemical for washing nuts and bolts and the fire ignited from that chemical.
The injured were working there.
Four units of firefighters put out the blaze at about 8:30am, he said.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
The extent of damage could not be known yet as the factory was closed, he added.
