International Master Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh finished 12th in the final phase of the open section of the Asian Junior Chess Championships-2020 [Under-20 years], held online on Thursday. Fahad won four and drew one out of his nine games to finish with 4.50 points in the competition, which was organised by the Asian Chess Federation. Another Bangladeshi player Tahsin Tajwar Zia became 20th with three points. Uzbekistan Grand Master Abdusattarov Nodirbek won the gold medal with 7.50 points while International Master Tahbez Arash of Iran clinched silver with 6.50 points and Uzbek GM Vokhidov Shamsiddin grabbed bronze with six points. Champion Abdusattarov received prize money of USD 1500 while Tahbez and Vokhidov were awarded USD 1000 and USD 500 respectively.
