Several sports federations including Bangladesh Football Federation on Sunday resumed their offices after a break of over two months due to coronavirus pandemic. ‘BFF will continue its office on a limited scale up to June 15 before taking any further decision. We will also follow the government directives to maintain hygiene at office arena,’ BFF general secretary Abu Nyeem Shohag told New Age. The BFF closed its office on March 26 following the government’s announcement of a general holiday. Besides BFF, National Sports Council, Bangladesh Chess Federation, Bangladesh Handball Federation and Bangladesh Athletics Federation also resumed their office work from Sunday. Bangladesh Hockey Federation will resume its office on June 4. However, the Bangladesh Olympic Association had continued its office on a limited scale even during the lockdown, said BOA deputy secretary-general Asaduzzaman Kohinoor. — New Age
