The results of the Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations will be published online today and the students would access them through mobile short messages amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The results would be formally be published at 10:00am today by the prime minister Sheikh Hasina through videoconferencing from her official Ganabhaban residence on Sunday, said a press release issued by the education ministry on Friday.
The education minister Dipu Moni would disclose the detailed information of the results at 11am through a Facebook live session, it added.
‘The results would be available on the websites of the respective education boards,’ Dhaka education board chairman professor Muhammad Ziaul Haque told New Age on Saturday.
‘The students who had already registered to get results would get the results through the mobile short messages. Students can be registered sending SMS to 16222 typing SSC/Dakhil<space>board name (first three letter)<space>Exam Roll<Space> 2020,’ he added.
The results would not be sent to the institutes and no student should gather over there considering the risk of COVID-19 infection,’ he said.
‘Tomorrow the institutions can download the institute-based result sheets from the websites of the education boards tomorrow providing their educational institute’s identification number,’ he said.
A total of 20,47,779 students – 10,24,363 boys and 10,23,416 girls — took part in the SSC and equivalent examinations at 3,512 centres from 28,884 educational institutions.
Of them, 16,35,240 students took part in the SSC examinations under nine general education boards, 2,81,254 in Dakhil exam under Madrasa Education Board while 1,31,285 appeared in vocational exams under Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
