Leaders and activists of the Communist Party of Bangladesh on Friday said that they would work for fulfilling the unfinished works of party’s former general secretary Syed Abu Zafar Ahmed.
CPB took various programmes to observe the first anniversary of death of freedom fighter Abu Zafar, who died in a Dhaka hospital on May 29 in 2019 from heart disease.
The party held a commemoration meeting virtually where party president Mujahidul Islam Selim said that his party would work for establishing a repressionfree society as dreamed by the party’s former general secretary.
CPB adviser Manzurul Ahsan Khan, general secretary Mohammad Shah Alam, central leaders Shahidullah Chowdhury and Shajjad Zahir Chandan took part at the discussion.
The leaders placed wreaths at a portrait of Abu Zafar at party’s central office in the afternoon.
