The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in Bangladesh provided ‘Thank you’ lunch to 3,000 healthcare providers who were treating COVID-19 patients in the country on Eid-ul-Fitr day.

The initiative was in partnership with the Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.

These healthcare providers included doctors, nurses and caregivers across fifteen hospitals in the country under the ‘Joy of Giving’ platform, said a press release on Thursday.

The Bank also provided the lunch to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research and the Directorate General of Health Services.

The lunch items were prepared by the chefs of the Hotel InterContinental Dhaka and distributed by the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society to the selected hospitals.
