Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artiste and three-time National Film Award winning music director Shujeo Shyam was released from Kurmitola General Hospital Wednesday afternoon after doctors had collected his samples for COVID-19 test.
Shyam’s daughter Rupomanjury Shyam confirmed the matter to New Age. He was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital at 12:30am on Wednesday. He has been suffering from fever for the past two days.
‘My father is now at home. He has been suffering from fever for two days. We took him to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Shyamoli Tuesday night. The hospital advised us to admit him to Kurmitola General Hospital. We took him to Kumitola at about 12:30am when the doctors examined my father and told us that he was suffering from pneumonia. They collected samples at about 2:30pm for COVID-19 test and released him from the hospital,’ she said.
‘The doctors asked us to take him home and said that they would inform us about the test result soon,’ Rupomanjury added.
