Different TV channels will telecast special programmes comprising teleplays, telefilms, drama series, films, music shows and more to entertain the viewers during the Eid holidays.
However, there will be a lot of reruns of old programmes this Eid as shootings for small screen productions were cancelled towards the end of March following the onset of COVID-19. Besides, the channels will telecast unaired programmes which were shot in the previous years along with a few new productions shot before March.
Channel-i will telecast feature film ‘Krishnapakkha’ on Eid day at 10:15am. Directed by Meher Afroz Shaon, it had been written by Humayun Ahmed.
Besides, channel-i will telecast 16 teleplays and 10 telefilms, among which four had been directed by Humayun Ahmed, and seven other feature films had either been penned or directed by Humayun Ahmed along with other special programmes for eight days, including the Eid day.
Channel-i press and publication department general manager Habibul Huda said, ‘This year’s Eid programmes comprise productions shot before March of the current year and a few unaired programmes that were made in the previous years. I hope viewers during the Eid holidays will enjoy these programmes.’
Telefilm ‘Batch-27’ will enjoy a rerun on NTV on Eid day at 2:30pm. It has been written and directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan. It stars Apurba, Mithila and others.
Besides, NTV will telecast 21 teleplays, seven telefilms and three drama series as part of its seven days Eid schedule.
NTV programme producer Pavel Hasan said, ‘As the shootings for the small screen production were cancelled on March 22, we have decided to telecast teleplays that were submitted earlier by agencies to entertain the Eid holidaymakers.’
Banglavision will air teleplay ‘Arranged Love’ on Eid Day at 5:30pm. Directed by Rubel Hasan, the teleplay’s cast include Tanjin Tisha, Ziaul Faruq Apurba and others.
The channel will air a total of 35 teleplays, 14 films and three drama series for eight days.
ATN Bangla will telecast a teleplay entitled ‘Bolo Tare’, which was shot in 2018, on second day of Eid at 8:30pm. It has been directed by acclaimed teleplay maker Chayanika Chowdhury.
The channel offers ten-day Eid special programme comprising telefilms, films, teleplays, music shows and others.
Other television channels, namely Maasranga TV, RTV, Asian TV, Duronto TV, will also telecast Eid special programmes.
