The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s RSS Thread and Accessories Limited has signed a deal under which the company will invest $6 million to establish a garments accessories industry at the Ishwardi EPZ of Pabna, said a press release.
An agreement to this effect signed between BEPZA and the company at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Monday.
BEPZA member (engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam and M/s RSS Thread and Accessories chairman Md Abdun Noor inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations in presence of BEPZA executive chairman Major General SM Salahuddin Islam.
The fully Bangladeshi owned company will produce annually 100.2 million pieces of RFID and adhesive label, paper tag or card, corrugated carton, 33 million yards of narrow fabric and 15.5 square metres of corrugated board.
RSS Thread and Accessories will create jobs for 485 Bangladeshi nationals.
