Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union provided financial supports among the vulnerable players and coaches, who are in need during coronavirus pandemic, said federation secretary Mousum Ali on Thursday. The number of players and coaches who got the aid is 30. The federation also distributed food among some 722 non-sporting people from across the country. The organisers, some financially sound players and well-wishers of the federation also extended their assistance. They also unanimously decided not to spend money on upcoming Eid shopping, rather would spend the money on vulnerable people. Mousum also expected that 10 female players, who have been selected by the federation, will get Tk 10,000 each when the ministry of youth and sports would release its promised fund. — New Age
