Bangladesh Hockey Federation will provide Taka five lakh to hockey players, coaches and umpires, who are facing financial crisis during coronavirus pandemic. The federation collected the fund from its executive members and will disburse the amount among 50 recipients today. ‘We will distribute the money tomorrow [Tuesday]. The recipients are from district level to national level players, coaches and umpires,’ BHF secretary Mohammed Yousuf told New Age on Monday. Women’s team players and under-21 boys team players’ were not included among the recipients’ list this time as the federation decided to support them after getting a fund from the ministry of youth and sports, the secretary informed. – New Age
